they must seek peace and pursue it.” - Blessed are the pure in heart,
for they will see God. - No one lights a lamp and hides it in a clay jar or puts it under a bed. Instead, they put it on a stand, so that those who come in can see the light.
- Search me, God, and know my heart;
test me and know my anxious thoughts.
See if there is any offensive way in me,
and lead me in the way everlasting. - Make every effort to live in peace with everyone and to be holy; without holiness no one will see the Lord.
- And I myself did not know him, but the one who sent me to baptize with water told me, ‘The man on whom you see the Spirit come down and remain is the one who will baptize with the Holy Spirit.’
- Then what if you see the Son of Man ascend to where he was before!
- Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.

- “Who can hide in secret places so that I cannot see them?” declares the Lord.
“Do not I fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord. - So that I may come to you with joy, by God’s will, and in your company be refreshed.
- Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword.
- For the Lord gives wisdom;
from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. - His master replied, ‘Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!’
Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.”Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. Therefore, my dear brothers and sisters, stand firm. Let nothing move you.
